Medscint is proud to be sponsoring the 17th International Congress for Radiation Research (2023 ICRR) – combined with the 69th Annual Meeting of the Radiation Research Society – happening in Montréal, Canada, on August 27-30, 2023.

The “Olympics of Radiation Research”

Happening every 4 years, the 2023 ICRR brings together brilliant and passionate scientists from leading Research Societies around the world (researchers, clinicians, early career investigators, leading scientists and program directors ). Also called the “Olympics of Radiation Research”, this International Congress allows researchers – from more than 20 countries and diverse radiation science disciplines – to showcase and discuss their findings, stimulate collaboration on new research topics and promote the multidisciplinary nature covering the state-of-the-art in radiological sciences.

Hot presentations and abstracts of the 2023 ICRR

Don’t miss these hot 🔥presentations involving the cutting-edge HYPERSCINT™ scintillation dosimetry research platform :

Organic ❇️scintillator dosimetry system for end-to-end independent verification of preclinical radiotherapy plans delivered with SARRP (small animal irradiator)

Online validation and end-to-end dose verification of small animal irradiators are essential to assess the accuracy levels of preclinical radiotherapy studies, and small real-time ❇️scintillation detectors can be a real game-changer in this regard. Watch for the work of Dr. Ileana Silvestre Patallo and al (NPL, UCL, Medscint) on the subject at the 2023 ICRR meeting.

Influence of the Bragg peak on average vs instantaneous dose rate for proton FLASH biological studies

Dr. Yannick Poirier and his team at University of Maryland School of Medicine investigated the Bragg peak average and maximum instantaneous dose rate as a function of depth using Medscint ❇️scintillation detector’s technology.

For those implicated in the field of Proton FLASH community, 👉definitely a must 👀see piece of work at the 2023 ICRR meeting.

See you at the next conference

ICRR 2023 is officially over and we would like to thank the International Organizing Committee and all of you who have visited us over the past 4 days. It was our first participation in these “Olympics for Radiation Research”, and we are happy to have met people from this dynamic and vibrant community.

Based on our exchanges with attendees, we are confident that Medscint real-time scintillation dose detectors can be a valuable asset in improving dosimetry standards for better translational research of leading radiation biology laboratories around the world.

See you for the 18th International Congress on Radiation Research in 4 years at BRNO in the Czech Republic https://www.icrr2027.com/
