Gabriel Famulari is a medical physicist resident at the CHUM – Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. He presented exciting commissioning data from their Mobetron system (IntraOp Medical Corporation) used at ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) at the AAPM 2022.
During is researched, he used our HYPERSCINT RP-200 system and gafchromic EBT-XD films (Ashland). He demonstrated the suitability of using a plastic scintillation detector as an active dosimeter for real-time commissioning measurements of an UHDR electron beam. Thus, our RP-200 is the solution for accurate, and non-perturbing measurements. Making it the perfect choice for small field dosimetry and other challenging research projects.
Convenient lecture at AAPM 2022 meeting!
Take a look at his abstract presented at the AAPM 2022 conference online, to understand how he used a plastic scintillation detector to present commissioning data for the Mobetron electron radiation therapy system at UHDR. Finally, the reference dosimetry showed good agreement (within 1%) between plastic scintillation detectors and film. So, he demonstrated the suitability of using a PSD as an active dosimeter for commissioning measurements of an UHDR electron beam.
